Reasonable. Room was clean and at the standard you would expect for the price. I will second water related comments - I experienced some room juggling on arrival because my room had a leak and the plumbing was pretty loud through the night as everyone got back from their nights out. That being said, I had adequate water from my shower and tap. I was also impressed that the sink drained into a down pipe and out of the bathroom rather than simply onto the bathroom floor. This is a thoughtful touch.

A nice hotel, very friendly owner. Inky slightly out of town. Easy walk

Rooms & the valley

Five rooms. One unforgettable valley.

As you scroll, each room opens onto the part of Vang Vieng it was made for. The imagery is a placeholder stage for now — the hotel's own photos and clips drop straight into these frames.

The setting

Karst mountains at your window

Vang Vieng sits in a bowl of limestone karst — sheer grey towers that catch the first gold of sunrise and fade to deep blue at dusk. From the upper floors you can watch the light move across them all day.

Throw open the balcony curtains and the mountains are simply there: close, quiet, and enormous.

  • Sunrise on the ridgeline, straight from your balcony
  • Caves, climbs and viewpoints minutes from town
  • The valley's famous golden hour, every evening

The river

Lazy days on the Nam Song

The Nam Song winds right through Vang Vieng — slow and shallow through the dry months, made for tubing, kayaking and floating an afternoon away.

It's the easy, joyful side of the valley, and the part families remember most.

  • Tubing and kayaking from the edge of town
  • Riverside sundowners as the karsts turn pink
  • Gentle, shallow stretches the kids love

The room

Mountain View Double

Sleeps 2 · 1 Double · mountain view

The whole valley from Nam Xay

A short, steep climb above the rice fields opens onto the view everyone comes for — limestone peaks marching to the horizon, the river threading between them.

Go at sunrise or late afternoon, when the light is long and the air is cool.

  • A brisk climb to the famous panorama
  • The valley laid out end to end
  • Best at sunrise or golden hour

Cool off in the Blue Lagoons

Spring-fed and impossibly turquoise, the Blue Lagoons are where the valley goes to cool down — swim, leap from the rope swings, or just read in the shade.

An easy half-day out, and back in time for dinner.

  • Cool, clear, spring-fed pools
  • Rope swings and shady picnic spots
  • An easy half-day from the hotel

The room

Standard Double

Sleeps 2 · 1 Double

Cozy, budget-friendly double room.
